Originally this collaborative project started in Cork and then moved to London.2016 saw Carpool move back to Cork city to build a recording and writing space where like minded musicians could join in on the conversation, the concept is simple, collaborate, create, record and share.
Expect to hear original music that draws on multiple musical genres and sensibilities (alt melodic-rock, instrumental-rock, psych-folk, electronica and groove).
How lovely – nearly 60 years on from the birth of rock’n’roll – to hear a track that’s not quite like anything one has heard before. Oddly accessible, charmingly eccentric, there’s nothing “radiofriendly” or “mainstream” about this mob. As a result they’re far more likely to produce a huge smash OMFG record in the coming months than all the indie-by-numbers Editors clones still being pushed at us by pluggers and record companies on a daily basis.
