ABOUT

I've been a dubstep producer for years, few mil plays but wasn't me in the end. Had to find the source of my niggling inner itch. Turns out it was right there, that big pain in my arse about the way oligarchy is subtly rising out of capitalism throughout Ireland, Europe and (not so subtly lately) in our proxy overlord, America. Went back to my roots, rock! Not political, just fucking human; sick of it, doing something about. Rock has to rise from the ashes and get back on top. The last time rock was on top, the 90's, life was sweet. So this project is not for you if you're playing nice or fitting into whatever safe little box the industry wants.

I have a load of songs ready to rock.Think of Velouy as Angus Young meets Thom York and Dylan, if they grew up on Crumlin's mean streets. 12-15 fully produced songs, with endless news songs coming up: scope for riffage, expanded arrangements. I want to make a modern Bohemian Rhapsody (I attempted it below on 'Not a Drop of Blood Spilt').

Pref 3 guys (or solid femtastic ladies) who have backing vocals, but 1-2 grand. I play lead/solo guitar but doing vocals over some parts makes it tricky, so would need someone capable/willing to take lead or rhythm depending on the song.

I love a raw spark inside whoever I play with, that fire that comes alive when you plug in and goes out when you unplug. Drummers, I need you to have at least one brain cell working for humanity.

Hard grind to world-tour attitude, yeah!

(Velouy is an anagram of...love you).

Ps. any you wannabes visiting this page even think of stealing even a single lyric I'll hunt you down and make sure you're a poet with no bollocks.

Not a Drop of Blood Spilt (lyrics)

It's the company we keep, and the changes that come on
Take your Vitamin D for tense emotional dumps
On the carousel line, govern my social faux pas
So many times I wanted to leave the leave class
Anomalies in the the math

And the actors still fall, but they don't have to crawl
And the state shills scribe, 'the worlds a stage' Lord
Never write them off
It's a tightrope walk, you will you get back up
Be the voice in the dark, 'you are more than enough'
You're still the low fallen fruit who's untouched by doubt
How we'll walk our dogs, see it all work out
Give us bread and games or we will tear it all down
We cannot take it back, without a drop of blood spilt
Without not a drop of blood spilt

All the money we need for a touch of divine
She kept me close to her breast while she killed the swine
Dull the soft-hearted muse, Zarathustra on the grass
Now they're preaching the truth from lives of the past
Ah, we never could ask

Now the reachers all stall, how they gossip and lace
Wisdom from young fool who offered the trace, yeah we changed it to play
On my blindfold march; to go blindly in trust
Hear the thunder clap to take back your love
Or it will never be enough for you

You are low fallen fruit again, who's still untouched by doubt
Make fire from those sparks, see it all burn down
'Just give them bread and games, yeah let the sedatives win
Now to take it all, (ahhahaha), with not a drop of blood spilt
Now we can do anything we want, we want, we want'

Oh oh, with not a drop of blood spilt
Tell me how can we win now?
Oh how can we win?
Yeah the hole that you find, it needs to be filled
We'll all get high and they wont be billed, yeah billed
Yeah, power shifts to the right. What's on TV tonight?
We will all ride the memory wipe—within
But it has to be right
Yeah you have to survive
We're getting rich alright
You slaved away, that's your right
Yeah everyone has a price, ah-ha
Got to survive
Well over to you
Oh oh oh

With not a drop of blood spilt
No not a drop of blood spilt
No not a drop of blood spilt
If you could do with a kill
Well then you're not fit to reach for it
I'll be the glass on your beach, I promise
Yeah you can win, but there's power in it
All the love that gives in
All the love that you kill
All the love that won't hear
With not a drop of blood spilt
With not a drop of blood

Fresh Fodder (Lyrics)

Fresh fodder, definitely not a scholar
Ash was just a jogger, one day bodies in The Dodder
Red letter, batons and the pepper
Coolock's got a problem, every village gonna tell ye
Green Tory, what's the bedtime story?
I listen to your virtue, man, you're all about the glory
Pride's horny, equality is phoned in
Poppin' pills for fun because the world is turnin' on me

Black mirror, you're very honest
I believed you till they went and put you in the closet
On a spectrum, Pavlov's condition
Don't drink that Alice, it spells tonic, its poison
Skin care specialist, with witch hazel
Rubbed my eyes and saw in her eyes a witches haven
Poor perfectionist, with a ladle.
Feeding beta males their misogynistic pain

And it's all a little sketchy, makin' me a little techy
But I'm not soakin' up the bed sheet
And I'm not sufferin' with head-police
Weak men, make hard times, meeting with Blackrock
Are you really about that Brian?
WEF's not my friend, peeping at their stocks
At least temperature is rising

Fresh fodder, definitely not a scholar
Ash was just a jogger, one day bodies in The Dodder
Red letter, batons and the pepper, Coolock's got a problem, every village gonna tell ye
Green Tory, what's the Jack and Norey? I listen to your virtue, man, we're all about the glory
Pride's horny, equality is phoned-in
Poppin' to the pub because the kids are turnin' on me

Get serious you're shit's delirious.
Posing all imperious, a Swiftie with a hit list
You're not the clearest, or the dearist
Certainly the a nihilist, a halo wearing sidekick
Up the greasy pole like Che Guevara
Cherry picking like a undernourished farmer
I'd like to know ye, but you hate dialect
I've got to put you in the box that I've marked 'rejects'
In your area, not heaven sent, in the pressers, coalition no defence
In the lockstep, but that's a crutch
Over and over, the lady doth protect too much
We friends make hard times. Sleeping till the shock hits you of the sleeping giant
The EU's not my friend, so put them in the dock...all the scumbags from the island!

Fresh fodder, definitely not a scholar
Maxwell had a daughter, only one on bread and water!
Red letter, batons and the pepper
Coolock's got a problem, every village gonna tell ye
Green Tory, what's the bedroom story?
I listened to your virtue man, you're all about the glory
Pride's horny, equality is phoney
Poppin' pills for fun because the world is turnin' on me

Yeah, you don't see the danger, in your echo chamber
We're waiting on a fall, asleep in the Dail
It's not the wife on the call, it's the ref against the wall
It's the WEF against us all
All them royals have to fall
Little Saint Michael's balls
Fresh fodder for them all
Fresh fodder for them all
