ABOUT

Based in Dublin, I am a professional musician and work as a keyboard player, drummer and cellist. I have played with many well known bands and singers and have worked as a session player for various album recordings including many well known radio and television jingles. My labour of love gig is playing keyboards in the Steely Dan tribute band, “Aja”.

As a piano player I’ve also worked with the Irish Children’s Theatre Group and composed music for a stage production of the W.B. Yeats play, The Land of Heart’s Desire, at the Andrew’s Lane Theatre and have taught keyboards in the, Ballyfermot Rock School.
As a drummer I particularly love playing good rhythm n’ blues and soul.
On cello love playing everything from classical ensembles to contemporary original music with bands and singer-songwriters.

Singer, Sinead Stone and I released the highly acclaimed album, “Legacy Of A Quiet Man”. The CD is a collection of songs written by my father, Dick Farrelly who is best known for his song “The Isle of Innisfree”, the melody was used as the theme of the 1952 film, “The Quiet Man”.

I'm always interested in new projects and collaborations especially where I can play more than 1 instrument.
