ABOUT

Composer and multi-instrumental performing artist on Reeds and Flute. Born, raised and began playing jazz as a teenager in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
Played 1st Clarinet in the High School marching band in Tampa, Florida. Also, 1st Clarinetist in the US Navy Band while serving on 2 different Aircraft Carriers at the age of 18.
Attended the University of South Florida where he received both his BA and MA degrees.
While living in each of the 4 corners of the USA, performed with Flute and Sax in numerous club and concert venues with various major jazz artists, including keyboardist Red Garland (following his historical time and recordings with the Miles Davis Quintet), and Downbeat award winner, percussionist Lewis Nash. Played with the Red Garland Trio in Dallas,
Produced and performed in the first live jazz broadcasts over National Public Radio affiliate FM Radio Station, KJZZ in Phoenix, AZ.
Authored the paper entitled, “The Use of Symbolism and Imaging in Jazz.” A reprint of this paper can be found on the Facebook page hosted by Jack, entitled “Musical Improvisation,” located at https://www.facebook.com/groups/454951708419378/media.
Produced, and performed with Red Garland and Lewis Nash, in the Jazz FM Radio Station-hosted Jazz Concert in the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, in Phoenix, AZ.
While living in Seattle, WA, began to focus on composing and performing New Age and various musical fusion styles. Moved from Seattle to live in Barcelona, Spain in 2003. Played and recorded in Barcelona with different jazz/blues groups, and with Flamenco Fusion band, Lumbre.
In 2014, while living in Berlin, Germany, conceived of a new genre called, "Hip Hop Jazz," and began composing and recording that style.
