Musicians and singers required for lively church music group which sings contemporary music at the 10:30am Family Mass in Portmarnock Church every Sunday. We practice every Wednesday evening from 8pm-9:30pm. We are very fortunate to have very supportive priests in the parish who are really keen to attract young people back to the church and create an informal welcoming atmosphere. Although a Family Mass, our music strategy has been to connect with the young parents so that they will want to bring their children. Since the launch of the Family Mass last year the attendance has grown significantly and the Music Group has played a huge part in attracting people back to the Mass. A key part of our group is also our social life. We go for a few drinks after practice every Wednesday and have been responsible for some very late sing songs in the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links!
