Musician based in the south-east. I've been gigging solo for the last year or so. I busk a bit too. I can competently play most of the pub standards. Your Oasis, Johnny Cash, Waterboys, Dubliners etc and all the stuff that people like to hear and dance to when having their beers and what not. I have some off the wall covers thrown in just to set me apart.
My own taste is more wide ranging but what I feel most at home with creatively is indie folk stuff. The Mountain Goats, Loudon Wainwright, NMH stuff like that.
I have a minimalist but comprehensive live set up. Bose PA, 8 channel mixer.
I've begun to learn home recording too and recently invested in a decent laptop and have been learning the ropes with Abelton. As part of this I've started to learn the bass. The piano will come at a later point.
I'm a fairly competent guitar player and I can sing well.
I'm at the point now where I want to experiment with originals and expand the sound a bit. A bass player ideally. A bass player who can sing most preferably. Keys and percussion also ideal
