ABOUT

Matt Hanaphy is a 29year old singer songwriter from the north side of Dublin. Matt studied banjo and mandolin with Barney McKenna (Dubliners) and Paul Kelly. Matt graduated from the 'ceoilteoir' diploma at BCFE. He is also an accomplished guitar player. Matt's songs show his Trad and folk roots and a social conscience but they are also full of joyful happy and sometimes sad emotions. "Matt Hanaphy is the most gifted young banjo player ive ever seen. His playing goes beyond dazzling. Truly incredible." Said - Declan O'Rourke. Currently available for gigs and recording appearing on many tracks including well known band "Rome"s successful "Dublin Sessions" album and even tracks that appeared on world famous television series Love/Hate.
