Influences
So many but ill try to mention the key ones
First band that reall caught my ear was the Doors because of the keyboard (I learned piano from age 7).
It was then a trawl through the sixties, Hendrix, Beatles, Beach boys, Dylan etc.
Grunge bands in 90s: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden esp.
A flirtation with EDM : Leftfield, Orbital
70s songwriters like Neil Young , James Taylor , Carole King, Joni Mitchell
00s Alternative like Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, Midlake
Jazz : Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, John Mc Laughlin, Bill Evans , Miles Davis etc
Current Irish trad obsession : learning jigs , reels etc in banjo at the moment and listening to all the trad greats.
