We were a well established, busy and profitable acoustic covers duo gigging around Dublin in bars, hotels and private parties for over 3 years between 2013 - 2016, but took a hiatus for 3 years due to personal circumstances.
We are now looking to get back rehearsing and gigging, but this time as a full band; initially 4 piece (vocals, guitar, bass, drums) then possibly a 5 piece (keyboard).
We have recruited a bass player, and now need a drummer (ideally also a backing singer) to join us. The intention is to spend a few months building a setlist rehearsing once per week, then gig 1 - 2 times per month; with rehearsals in between. Both of us are in full time work, so this would be on the side of that rather than intending it to be full time. Our set always has been and would continue to be very versatile, but mainly upbeat crowd pleasers from all eras. We like to mix the obvious classics with some unexpected (but well known) covers to help us stand out from the average cover bands. We would always aim for the audience to know every song in the set.
Drummer must be available to practice & gig on Saturdays and be open to a wide variety of music. Knowledge of live sound / ability to engineer a band to a reasonable standard would be a massive plus.
