Hi, I've ended up in Dungarvan after getting stuck not being able to travel 'cos of covid..
I wanna hook up with some other middle-aged soul / jazz / lounge lovin' cats to groove all night in smokey bars (I wish..).
I'm guitar - in the spirit of boogaloo joe jones / '60s george benson / wes montgomery - sorta thang.. (54 years of age)
Looking for drums, bass, sax and trumpet (or organ maybe?) for a groovy, funky, souly combo that gets down and dirty.
Music style: think - 'Sidewinder' (Lee Morgan) / 'Moanin'' (Bobby Timmons) / 'Watermelon Man' (Herbie Hancock)
lots of improvisation and wigging out - yeah!
A chance for everyone to arrange toons for the outfit too - 'long as it's groovy, muthafu*ka!)
EDIT: Right now I'm looking for any GIGGING band to be a part of. I've been in countless covers/tribute bands and played thousands of gigs (in the UK and Europe) - I know the drill.. I'm also easy going, affable and can get along with anyone (I have a low tolerance for bullsh*t though!). If you need a guitarist/bvs for any PAID gigs look no further!
