Pointbreak + Band in Dublin

The band formed in late 2014, have released 3 EPs, and has crafted an extensive setlist of classic surf rock tunes from the 60s, originals and re-imagination of well-known tunes into a surf rock vibe. Renowned as a live band, they put on a high-energy show and have played 100+ gigs around Ireland and abroad.

Pointbreak has been featured on stages like Whelan’s, The Grand Social, The Button Factory, Siné, The Harbour Bar and many more as headliners or supporting international acts. They have also been invited to play at many festivals (Knockanstockan, Dublin Rock’n Roll Festival), international gigs (Italy, Scotland) and large events (Dublin Rock’n Roll Marathon Main Stage, opening for The Blizzards and Jerry Fish).

The sound of Pointbreak is a raucous blend of soaking wet, twangy Fender guitars, screaming sax and a pulsating rhythm on the drums. Think Dick Dale, The Ventures and Link Wray.
Pointbreak is a pretty unique band. I can probably say it's the most active surf rock ‘n’ roll band in the whole country as of today.
