I'm a self taught guitarist and I have been playing for about 14 years. I was founding member and lead guitarist for Shoctopus (http://www.facebook.com/shoctopus) for 7 years, with whom I wrote, recorded and released a 6 track EP and a 13 track album, until our disbanding in April 2015.
I have hundreds of gigs under my belt, both with Shoctopus and other bands as a hired gun, filling in where needed. I have plenty of experience in the recording studio, gigging and touring etc, and the business side of bands; booking gigs, PR, advertising, accounts, goal oriented planning etc.
I am always trying to push the boundaries of what I can do, and have a quite varied taste in music....if it sounds good, it is good.
I am searching for an established band looking for an experienced, passionate and committed guitarist.
At this link you will find some rough demos of solo instrumental pieces that I have written and recorded. http://www.soundcloud.com/stavismusic

Star Trek - The Next Generation theme (Guitars Cover)
Star Trek - The Next Generation theme (Guitars Cover) Year: 2015 Album: ~ Genre: Cover/Tribute
Composed by Jerry Goldsmith. I have always loved Star Trek. I grew up watching 'The Next Generation', and for a long time now have wanted to attempt to cover the theme by replacing the orchestral instruments with guitar. Still teaching myself how to use ProTools; this is my second attempt at recording and mixing a full song with it. For the recording I used a Gibson Les Paul Standard, Gibson Les Paul Studio, a refurbished Samick unknown, a 5-string base, an E-bow, slide and samples of bass drum, snare and crash cymbal....which all had to be put together without a click. I also used a toy Starship Enterprise (pictured) I got as a boy...y'know, just for authenticity! :P It's taken around four or five solid days in total over the space of three weeks to figure out all the parts and record them, and it has been fun. I hope you enjoy. :)
